Feedback and Feature Requests on Humanities Commons 8 years, 12 months agoOh, and fonts look all different too! OK, I’m on Safari 10.0.2 and Mac OS 10.12.2, so that might be it. I’m going to get a developer to look into this right away. Thanks, @anatudugarit!

Feedback and Feature Requests on Humanities Commons 8 years, 12 months agoHi,
Yes, I am logged. I have check with Emilie and it seems there is a problem with Safari (10.0.3) on Mac OS (10.12.3).I don’t have the right column after names.
Best,

Feedback and Feature Requests on Humanities Commons 8 years, 12 months agoHi, @anatudugarit,
Are you logged in to Humanities Commons on Safari? I’m on a Mac too, and I just logged in on Safari and get this. As you can see, I followed you, so I now have an “unfollow” option, but I can follow others.
As you can see from Émilie’s profile (viewed on a Mac in Safari), there’s also a “follow” link right under her profile picture.

Feedback and Feature Requests on Humanities Commons 8 years, 12 months agoHi,
=== MAC OS, Safari browser ===
Especially for “memberships” on the profile page, I have tried several times to add <br>, but when I update the page, it doesn’t work.
Another remark from my experience: it will be useful to add a comment such as (in correct English 🙂 ) “no style allowed”. I like very much to use my personal style when I see…[Read more]

Feedback and Feature Requests on Humanities Commons 8 years, 12 months agoHi,
Working with Mac OS and using Safari: impossible to add/follow a member from hcommons. I think it will be useful to add an icon “+” or “ADD” on the member’s profile page and/or just next to the member’s name on the page list of members.
Best,

Feedback and Feature Requests on Humanities Commons 9 years agoYES! We have this on our road map for the next six months (and we’re really excited about its potential). Thanks for the feedback!
P.S. For now, you could always send the author a direct message, or start a discussion thread in a group. -

Feedback and Feature Requests on Humanities Commons 9 years agoIt’s true, the display of CORE items on the personal profiles is currently puzzling. In fact, even a little space between each item would be an improvement, as currently it all looks like like an indistinct mass of hyperlinks.

Feedback and Feature Requests on Humanities Commons 9 years agoThis is an excellent proposal! By the way, it wouldn’t be bad to introduce a “Like” function in Group Discussions like this. While I didn’t have much to add in substantial terms to Christopher Long’s proposal, I did want to express my support: a Facebook-style “Like” would serve the purpose!

Feedback and Feature Requests on Humanities Commons 9 years agoColin, I think your analysis is very accurate: one of the many problems with Academia.edu is the lack of discussion and interaction.
I also would like to have some enhanced Analytics on HC, although I also think we should undertake a reflection on the best balance between each one’s right to privacy and the undeniable utility of data on the…[Read more]

CAA Commons Feedback on CAA Commons 9 years agoOK! thanks for contributing on the HC group. We actually cleaned up a lot of the academic interests when we first moved to the HC platform (MLA Commons had existed for 3 years at that point so we had a lot of interests listed there). We wanted to leave it somewhat open to how people want to phrase them – but that is a good point and we’ll keep…[Read more]

Feedback and Feature Requests on Humanities Commons 9 years agoHi again,
If I check out someone’s profile and I click on their institution name, I get redirected to the members pages. I see the filtered search results for 1 or 2 seconds and then the display changes, I get all the people I follow, like there was no filter. The url is exactly the same as if I would have punched the institution name in the…[Read more]
