The Digital Archaeology Interest Group, founded in 2019, consists of Archaeological Institute of America members who share an interest in the use of digital technologies in archaeological fieldwork, analysis, and scholarly communications and in promoting greater understanding of digital technologies to members of the AIA through programs and publications.

Minutes for the 2021 Business Meeting
The IG held its first official business meeting on January 5, 2021, which was held virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The minutes were created by the inaugural chair, Deb Brown Stewart, and submitted for review to the membership by e-mail.
