AL883: Design of Discussion Activity

Find a contemporary ceramic artist that interests you. In your initial discussion post you should include: 1. At least three photographs and/or videos of their work and at least one website link about them. Do not use Wikipedia as your link please. 2. The name of the artist and the body of work/pieces that you are discussing. 3. Explain in your own words what this artist makes. Make sure to include their style, use of color, texture, form, etc. Don’t just describe one piece. Discuss a body of their work that interests you. 4. Explain in your own words the concept/theme that they are addressing with the body of work you are discussing. 5. What drew you to this artist? 6. How does this artist inspire you in your own work? You are to respond to at least two other initial posts from this class. Make sure that your response posts add something to the discussion of this artist. Follow up your comments on why you think what you think. Do you have questions based on the posting? Does this artist also inspire you? Why? Do you have information on the artist that can add something to the understanding of them? If, in your research, you find interesting articles, add the links to your response.
