Hello, I am currently a Ph.D student in the Arts, Technology and Emerging Communication (ATEC) program at the University of Texas at Dallas. My research work focuses on the intersections of video games studies, Queer Studies, Latinx Studies, and Fan Studies. I got my Master’s at UT Dallas in Emerging Media Studies. My Master’s Thesis is titled Ludo-Latinidad: How Latinidad is Made and Played Out in Digital Games where I talk about border politics, necropolitics, and representation within contemporary global games like Overwatch and Valorant.  I am also a working writer and poet.
