Monica Urban, currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Houston, received her PhD in English from the University of Miami in 2016. She works on early and nineteenth-century American literature, with special interests in gender, race, and material culture. Recently, she presented papers at SEA, C19, and SSAWW.
