ARLIS/NA Texas-Mexico Chapter on ARLISNA Commons 2 years, 11 months agoGood afternoon y’all!
The chapter website has (finally) been successfully migrated to Humanities Commons: https://texasmexico.arlisna.hcommons-staging.org/ as required by ARLIS/NA.

Shannon Marie Robinson started the topic does your library have a collection of architectural models? in the discussion
Architecture & Planning Section on ARLISNA Commons 2 years, 11 months ago[I posted this to AASL so apologies if you see this twice!]
I’m working with a library science student to inventory and develop policy for our architecture + fine art library’s “collection” of architectural models.
These models are mostly student work, ranging from full models in plexiglass cases to… junk. We also have models in our archival…[Read more]

Shannon Marie Robinson replied to the topic ARLIS Mexico City Meeting? in the discussion
Architecture & Planning Section on ARLISNA Commons 2 years, 12 months agoHi Aimee,
The meetings are happening virtually in the weeks before or after Mexico City. I submitted a date but it may be tentative as I have not heard back from ARLIS/NA. The dates / Zoom links for all meetings will be part of SCHED and they do not want more than 2 meetings in a time slot.
So, that said I submitted Tuesday, May 2 at 12pm CDT.…[Read more]

ARLIS/NA Materials SIG on ARLISNA Commons 3 years agoI echo everyone’s thanks for stepping up to chairs the Materials SIG, Shannon. I’m scooting off to Italy for a couple of weeks shortly after the CDMX conference, so don’t plan around me. But do know that I will be lurking on this group. At my institution (MassArt), we’ve been pushing for a Materials Library for over ten years. New administration,…[Read more]

ARLIS/NA Materials SIG on ARLISNA Commons 3 years agoThanks for speaking up, Tara! 🙂
My vote is May 2 or May 3 at 12pm, 1pm, or 2pm CDT.
As 11am CDT is 9am Pacific, I know it’s a rush to be right on time that early. Thoughts?

ARLIS/NA Materials SIG via email on ARLISNA Commons 3 years agoHi Shannon!
Thank you for stepping up to be the SIG coordinator!
I would prefer May 3rd at 11, 12, 1, 2, or 3 for the meeting. I could also do May 2nd or 1st in the afternoon. This first week of May works better for me as it is closer to the end of the semester and to finals.
Thank you,
Tara
