Julia Perry Working Group on Humanities Commons 4 years agoMeg, this is really helpful. I’m working on a conference paper on Perry’s The Selfish Giant, and there a lot of it is sprechgesang in the vocal parts and either a drone or a repeated figure in the orchestra.
