About

Kate serves as the digital archivist in residence for digital humanities projects in the College of
Arts and Letters. She received her Master’s in Information Science from the University
of Michigan School of Information, where she specialized in digital curation, archives & records
management, and digital humanities. At MSU, she participates in projects that involve the use of
archival materials or the creation of digital objects that need curation and preservation.

The American Religious Sounds Project, a sonic archive documenting the diversity of everyday religious life through recordings taken across the United States.
Serves as resident archivist. Facilitates preservation and ingest of collection into the Vincent Voice Library.

Comics as Data, a collections as data project on the MSU comics collection.
Cleaned metadata for release and analysis. Updates Gitlab repository and pages with current data and visualizations,

Kane in Continuity, a digital exhibit showcasing a unique collection of photographs from the set of Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane.
    Arranged, described, and digitized collection along with Emily Finch and Sam Sciolla. Constructed “Kane & Continuity” exhibit, which places photographs side-by-side with stills from the film.

The Michigan Latin Archive, a digital archive documenting Latin Education at Michigan.
Arranged, described, and digitized select archival materials. Developed Drupal website, including exhibits, example lessons, and teaching resources.
