If I check out someone’s profile and I click on their institution name, I get redirected to the members pages. I see the filtered search results for 1 or 2 seconds and then the display changes, I get all the people I follow, like there was no filter. I would add filters to search in people, maybe from tags on their papers or based on their interests.

Also importing contacts from other social media and academia.edu
