About
I am a sixth-year Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in English at The University of Mississippi. I earned my B.A. in English from Millsaps College and my M.A. in English from The University of Iowa. I have served on the American Studies Association Students’ Committee and as a graduate representative to the Executive Board of the Southern American Studies Association. I attended the Dartmouth Futures of American Studies Institute in 2009 and Heidelberg University’s American Studies Spring Academy in 2013. My dissertation, “We’ve a Story to Tell to the World”: Pentecostalisms in the Contemporary Literatures of the Global South, studies the motif of Pentecostalism in recent fiction from the Black Atlantic.
