    Jennifer Thomas (PhD, University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music), Associate Professor of Musicology at the University of Florida, is the author of an online database used by scholars internationally, the Motet Database Catalog Online (http://www.arts.ufl.edu/motet) and the Oxford Bibliographies Online article, “Motet.” She has authored numerous articles and presented her work nationally and internationally. In 2016-19, she collaborated with a professional singers who specialize in performing music of the late 15th – – early 16thcentury. Her current research interests focus on close readings of musical texts, musical exegesis of sacred Renaissance motets, and the practices of ensembles specializing in early music. In her UF vocal ensemble, she engages singers in conversations with and about music and musicking. She is currently, and always, working on two articles and a book. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses for music majors at UF.
