Teaching a graduate seminar this semester on Theory of New Media. This week, a bit of Manovich (LoNM) and McLuhan to give everyone a feel for the questions. Next week, Heidegger ("Question Concerning Technology") and Stiegler (beginning of T&T). Found myself giving a ten-minute off-the-cuff "here's the gist of Being and Time" that I suspect most Heideggerians would have found quite hilarious. (2025-08-29 ↗)
