Stephanie Beene deposited Fluid Borders: Using Collections to Center Personal Narratives in the group
Teaching SIG on ARLISNA Commons 2 years, 8 months agoThe shared history between New Mexico and Mexico is one that stretches back eons. Indeed, the political boundary that separates the two entities on a map is one that is fluid, even though it has most recently been reinforced by the construction of a wall since the Trump presidency, and has endured increasing surveillance. Nevertheless, the peoples…[Read more]

Mark Pompelia replied to the topic Annual Business Meeting Zoom link in the discussion
Visual Resources Division (VRD) on ARLISNA Commons 2 years, 9 months agoHmmm. Good question. SCHED allows you to choose your own timezone. Selecting Eastern (Daylight) has our meeting starting at 5pm. Kelin’s message states 4pm Eastern (Standard, which is an error). So does it start at 4pm or 5pm EDT?
Thanks,
Mark

ARLIS/NA Texas-Mexico Chapter on ARLISNA Commons 3 years, 1 month agoThanks, Helen. I’m going to try to attend although I have a sudden conflict. Not sure I can vote by proxy but I support the staff option being added. I’ll recuse myself for the Mexico City conference donation but please be mindful that a donation for 2023 must be made in 2023; if the chapter donates money before January 1, it will be supporting…[Read more]

ARLIS/NA Materials SIG on ARLISNA Commons 3 years, 1 month agoHi Shannon and Siobhan,
Thanks for starting and continuing this discussion.
I have a six-month sabbatical during the first half of 2024 devoted to the generation of a handbook for materials collections. It’s only very loosely conceived at this point and I’ll have some research leave in 2023 to plot it out further. BUT it would be great to add…[Read more]
