About
I am a Central American creative thinker and digital enthusiast doing activist digital research. I am a member and co-creator of Indisciplinadxs: Feminist Linguistics, an international community of scholars, professionals, and activists. Education
At CUNY Graduate Center, I doing a Hispanic sociolinguistics at the Ph.D. Program in Latin American, Iberian, and Latino Cultures (LAILAC) and finished the Interactive Technology and Pedagogy Certificate. I work as a Digital Fellow at GC Digital Initiatives and a Fellow-in-Residence at the Futures Initiative. I am working on a digital dissertation that intertwines linguistic geography and feminist linguistics.
Before moving to NYC, I finished a bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Philology and a Master’s in Linguistics at the University of Costa Rica, researched the institutional language policy for the use of gender-fair language, and worked with the Center of Research and Studies on Women on the topic. I used to teach language courses to national and international students and I was a proofreader for academic journals. These experiences give me a different perspective on US academia. Publications

- El Costurero Público: Translated as “The Public Sewing Room”, an interdisciplinary Participatory Action Research project using clothing and accessory design as a method of popular education
