I am a PhD candidate (2011) in American Studies at Michigan State University. My dissertation, Fiberspace, looks at the intersection of textiles, especially quilts, and the digital. For the past three years, I have worked as a research assistant for the Quilt Index, a digital humanities project providing preservation, access, and contextual materials for images and metadata of 50,000+ historic and contemporary quilts.
