About

Shiloh Jines (they/them) is an MSLS candidate at UNC-Chapel Hill and graduate assistant at the Sloane Art Library. Previous to Shiloh’s graduate work in academic librarianship and special collections, they earned an MFA in Poetry and Book Art from Mills College in Oakland, CA. Their areas of specialization include book art, contemporary queer & feminist art, queer poetry, queer theory & trans studies.

For the past year, Shiloh worked as the public services intern at the Sallie Bingham Center for Women’s History and Culture, in the Rubenstein Special Collections Library at Duke Universtiy. While in this role they assisted Kelly Wooten with instructional sessions that focused on women’s artists books and zines, and worked in technical services to process new acquisitions and donations, to be included in the Bingham Center Zine Collection, LGBTQ Periodicals, and the Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick Papers.
