I have several questions about this proposal: 1. Does “literature and film” include plays? 2. A 300-word abstract and another 300-word biography are required? 3. What is Prof. Lupke’s email address for us to send our proposals? 4. If a paper is not accepted for the Forum, will it be considered for other panels?

I would be interested to propose a topic for your panel: “Border-Crossing: Uncle Tom in China.” Uncle Tom refers to the American novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin, which was adapted into plays in China three times during the past one hundred years.
