I work to provide students with authentic learning experiences through an integrative model of inquiry, reflection, and application of knowledge. This approach guides my work as Director of the Dietrich Honors Institute, as a teacher, and as a member of Thiel College’s Instructional Design Team. When students share their goals, assess their own learning, and reflect on the impact they have on the world, they become partners in education. I begin this process in my conversations with prospective students and continue in my classroom teaching, advising, curricular development, and co-curricular programming.
