Merideth Garcia is a graduate student in the Joint Program in English and Education at the University of Michigan where she teaches English methods for the Teacher Certification (Secondary) program and holds a position as Sweetland Digital Rhetoric Collaborative Associate. Her research interests include the integration of multimodal and multimedia composition in high school curriculum and the extracurricular participation and remix practices in online fan communities.
