Linked Open Profiles is now live in the WordPress plugin directory! https://wordpress.org/plugins/linked-open-profiles/ This plugin makes it easy for anyone with a WordPress site to showcase their own—and their team’s—ORCID data. Whether you're highlighting individual profiles or your full research team, Linked Open Profiles helps you share scholarly identity data in a clean, connected way. A huge thank you to @ORCID_Org and the ORCID Global Participation Fund for supporting this project! (2025-05-02 ↗)

Why Should Students Consider Posting Work in Open Access Repositories? Last week, I spoke with Deric McNish, our Director of Undergraduate Research in the College of Arts & Letters at MSU about how open-access repository systems like Knowledge Commons might provide our students with a value-added experience to their education. https://schopie1.commons.msu.edu/2024/10/08/why-should-students-publish-work-in-an-open-access-repositories/ (2024-10-08 ↗)

I was looking to add my ORCID login to my Knowledge Commons account and @babaklar provided this handy link for anyone interested in doing the same! https://support.hcommons.org/getting-started/adding-a-new-log-in-method/ (2024-09-18 ↗)

I'm thrilled to announce that the Knowledge Commons (formerly Humanities Commons) team has been awarded an ORCID Global Participation Fund grant to facilitate better two-way data transfer between the Knowledge Commons platform and researcher's ORCID profiles. The project will build upon a WordPress ORCID plugin we have created, establish the KC Works repository as an ORCID provider, and facilitate the display of ORCID data on KC researcher profiles. https://info.orcid.org/global-participation-fund-announces-fourth-round-of-awardees/ https://hcommons.org/ (2024-09-05 ↗)
