About
Rosângela Ap was born in 1977, in São Paulo, Brazil. Since 1996, she participates regularly of exhibitions as artist. Some of her works are present in the collection of the Musée de l’Elysée (Lausanne, Switzerland), the Grafisk Vaerkst (Naested, Denmark), the Brazilian Association of Artists of Collage (Sao Paulo, Brazil), as well appear in print and online catalogs. Award: Finalist of the ‘Concorso Internazionale di Arte Digitale Visiva “The Brain Project 2006″‘, promoted by Associazione Acquamarina supported by Direzione Istruzione Centrale, Culture, Sport e Pace della Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Credit Cooperative del del Carso, having her work published online and in print in the ‘Top 30’ award. She is a Teacher of Basic Education II – Art (2011-) at the Education Department of the State of Sao Paulo and a Technical Education Teacher (2022-) at Centro Paula Souza. From 2013 to 2021 she was Adjunct Professor III at Universidade Paulista (UNIP). Since 2019 she is a Research Collaborator at Instituto de Estudos Medievais (IEM – FCSH NOVA). She is a member of scientific and professional associations such as ANPAP (National Association of Researchers in Arts) (2011-), the
International Center of Medieval Art, an Advisory Board member of
Anastasis. Research in Medieval Culture and Art, and Peer Reviewer (2018-) of the Revista Palíndromo of the Centro de Artes, Design e Moda da Universidade Estadual de Santa Catarina (CEART/UDESC). She was a member of the Editorial Board of the vol. 1/2018 of the Ora Labora et Studia – Revista da Biblioteca do Mosteiro de São Bento (São Paulo). She wrote books, book chapters, and articles about Art, Sacred Art, Education, Digital Inclusion, and Museology. For her PhD, she has been searching Textile Cultural Heritage with a focus on liturgical textiles from XIV to XVI centuries in the Iberian Peninsula.

Projects
Vestimenta Sacra é um projeto de pesquisa sobre o Patrimônio Cultural Têxtil Eclesiástico, realizado a partir de 2019, com o estudo de acervos ibéricos com foco em peças medievais. Tem objeto o estudo da filiação estética e das fontes iconográficas para identificação de vestes e têxteis eclesiásticos, cuja metodologia tem sido desenvolvida de modo transdisciplinar, cruzando as áreas da História da Arte, Artes Decorativas, História Medieval, História da Igreja, Museologia e Humanidades Digitais. Ao longo deste período, a pesquisa conta com o apoio de religiosos, colecionadores, instituições museológicas e pesquisadores universitários. A proposta está vinculada aos estudos para Doutoramento em Estudos Medievais, pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
