Roger Hallas is Associate Professor of English and co-director of the LGBT Studies Program at Syracuse University. He is the author of Reframing Bodies: AIDS, Bearing Witness and the Queer Moving Image (Duke UP, 2009) and co-editor of The Image and the Witness: Trauma, Memory and Visual Culture (Wallflower, 2007). He is currently working on a new book project on the intermedial relation of documentary film and photography, with specific interest in the development of the web documentary.
