Hmmm… I misread the news about the name of Google’s new ChatGPT competitor. “Brad? They called it Brad?!” Actually, I think I’ll stick with calling it Brad. Works better. “Did you get Brad to write your essay? This seems a lot like something Brad would write. Brad doesn’t really know what he’s talking about.” (2023-02-07 ↗)


So, 16 years ago this week I joined that other app. I was user 64,113, and many of us started out by posting things like "Toast for breakfast" or "Heading to 7-11." Before long, though, I found community, inspiration, and more friends than I can count. Weird to think of how far social media has come and, well, how far it has also fallen.
