About
Philippe Forêt (University of Chicago PhD) is an expert on capacity-building in new fields of knowledge and on the transfer of data and expertise with universities across Eurasia. He leads with Marc Hall and Christoph Kueffer a multi-campus program in the environmental humanities at the University of Zurich and at the Swiss Academic Society for Environmental Research and Ecology. A geographer by training, he is a member of the Society of Fellows at the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society at Ludwig-Maximilians University. Three Institutes for Advanced Study have elected him Fellow, and his work has received awards from ten different countries.
