Nicola Lercari, PhD is currently a Postdoctoral Associate with the Department of Art, Art History & Visual Studies at Duke University. He specializes in digital humanities, web design, 3D and film production with a particular interest in the employment of serious games in history, the arts, and cultural heritage. Nicola is committed to develop new hybrid methodologies in the cultural serious games domain. His scholarly inquiry deals with integrating remote sensing, game development environments, such as Unity 3D, and historical and archaeological research. Nicola is the main designer of Fort Ross Virtual Warehouse, a historical-educational serious game sponsored by California State Parks and developed by the University of California Merced and Duke University.
