Jewish Music on Humanities Commons 4 years, 2 months agoI think Alex hits the nail on the head with his 3 answers, and I agree that it is in this particular order where we see the death of khazzones. I would also add that changes in musical taste is killing the art-form. One place where it seems to survive is with the Charedim – but even their performances are subject to musical tastes of the moment.

I can connect to last year’s SMT 2020 slack and have no problem with other slacks, but I when I try to log into SMT 2021 it says I “don’t have an account on this workspace”. Tried two different addresses.
