About
I am Lecturer in Literatures in English in the Department of English Literature at the University of Reading. I am active in research and teaching, and the pastoral support of students. I also run ad hoc training on inclusive pedagogy. I have previously served as Director of Academic Tutoring for the Department of English Literature at the University of Reading (2018-2020) and led the widening participation work of the School of Literature and Languages (2014-2017).
My first monograph, Black British Women’s Theatre: Intersectionality, Archives, Aesthetics (Palgrave Macmillan, 2020) recovers from various formal and informal archives a history of black British women’s non-naturalistic theatre. This fits within my broader interests in women’s writing, postcolonial writing, archival research, and literary and cultural theory. I welcome contact from anyone interested in pursuing a PhD in these areas at the University of Reading. Education
