About
I am a doctoral researcher and “chargé de cours” (part-time lecturer) of medieval English language and literature in the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. I am receiving co-supervision also at Birkbeck College, University of London.
I am a Germanic philologist, with a focus on medieval English, German, and Old Norse. My current research is interdisciplinary, looking at medieval sources through the combined lens of intellectual history, Environmental Humanities, and neuro-cognitive sciences. My ongoing doctoral project examines global medieval travel writing, including both physical travel and virtual travel in devotional texts. I am also a digital humanist, currently preparing a project studying global medieval travelogues by means of the GIS. Education
