About
I am a Ph.D. candidate under the Graduate Research and Education Programme in ‘Gender, Culture and Identity’ funded by the Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences. My dissertation is in Comparative Literature and Drama, in English and Italian, with particular emphasis on the work of Pirandello, his legacy in contemporary Irish theatre, and on the work of contemporary Irish playwright, Marina Carr. My research also explores the international productions of Pirandello’s and Carr’s plays in Ireland, UK and US. Among my publications is a collection of essays entitled “The European Avant-Garde: Text and Image”, published in 2012, co-edited with Dr. Selena Daly
