These factors and others can affect how the ‘story’ is told. And to add on Pamela’s comments, even within an orgnaization such as Al Jazeera, the visual is not presented the same. Welcome Group on MLA Commons 12 years, 1 month agoDear Katina,
I would very much appreciate your deleting those posts. There is one under Women’s Studies and under Gay Studies, both titled “Join the Women’s Caucus at MLA!”
Weirdly enough, the two in Postcolonial Studies are gone.
With thanks,
Michelle

Welcome Group on MLA Commons 12 years, 1 month agoHi Michelle,
The system won’t allow you to post an identical message in multiple groups. Welcome Group on MLA Commons 12 years, 3 months agoHi Michael,
The most common reason to see formatting code or HTML in a post is when the text has been copied (usually from Microsoft Word) into the visual editor on MLA Commons. The best way to avoid it in the future is to use the text editor, rather than the visual editor. More information is available in this FAQ post.
The Commons doesn’t s…[Read more]

Welcome Group on MLA Commons 12 years, 3 months agoI’ve posted a couple of times in my Groups’ forums (Shakespeare and Digital Humanities), and there are two issues:
1 / Some of my posts are full of html tags that I didn’t intend.
2 / When I noticed a typo in one of my posts, I couldn’t go in to edit/correct it.
Any suggestions?
