Since graduating from the Department of Education, University of Oxford, Alan has held managerial and lecturing posts in the U.K. and the E.U. where he has lectured in Film and Media at Mainz, Sofia, the FU, Berlin and, more recently, in South Africa where he also served as both External Verifier of new Film and Media courses for the Council of Higher Education Quality Committee and as Professor in Film.
He is the book author of
