The collegiate church of Santo Antão in Évora was one of the most important religious institutions of the city. It was also an important place of musical activity. This text will focus on the organ activity in the Collegiate during the 1570s, following the end of construction and repairs in the church.

Francisco Velez (fl. 1537-1585) was singer at Évora Cathedral chapel throughout the sixteenth century. He also hold the post of mestre da Claustra at the Cathedral after Mateus d’Aranda left Évora. The aesthetics of early feature-film scores were shaped by narrational problems introduced by multi-reel features and their longer durations.
