About
I am an independent researcher, and writer. I was born in Australia and now live in the south of France. I write hybrid, speculative, experimental, sound-based texts, crossing genres. I have a transgression impulse. I am interested in un-natural narratives. I love and champion women’s voices, in that, I have done extensive research into monologues, testimony, love, language, women mystics, and ecstatic voice utterances, the writer Gertrude Stein, and matriarchal underpinnings in language (MFA, MPHIL and Ph.D.). I have a novel in my bottom draw, about light and two women discussing it in its various guises. And I am presently working on a text featuring a mouthless woman detective and her sassy speech device (ventriloquist dummy) looking for something quite peculiar. I am interested in and have read quite widely into feminist theory. I like undoing or rewinding the threads of women’s lives as they are depicted in Greek and other ‘early’ myths, and reimagining and reanimating their voices. I’m interested in the lost, the unsaid, the unutterable, the refused, the denied … the voices in the margins.
