I created one for a correspondence dataset that I based off of the Voltaire and Locke correspondence case studies from Mapping the Republic of Letters (which they call a "schema"): https://doi.org/10.25740/vs407gj3803 …but I'd love to have more examples to share as models. (2024-01-11 ↗)
Any #dh types have a good example of a codebook that is publicly available for a history-focused #digitalhumanities project? Something that explains the source(s) of the data, all the variables and their possible values, in human-readable format? https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/web/ICPSR/cms/1983 (2024-01-11 ↗)
I went looking for weather information and was dissatisfied with what I found. I remembered a tool that did what I wanted (DarkSky), only to find out that it was gone, and instead found this beautiful eulogy for the data visualization design that had made it so amazing. So I can share that, at least. https://nightingaledvs.com/dark-sky-weather-data-viz/ #weather #dataviz #datavisualization #darksky (2023-04-06 ↗)
