I’m an independent researcher based in Vancouver, British Columbia, on the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. My research interests include the sensation novel and intersections of Victorian material culture and embodiment. I have published and presented work on pockets and bodily boundaries in sensation fiction, dress(ing) and private spaces in the Victorian novel, the figure of the imperial loafer in late Victorian fiction and culture, and “high performance technology” in Dracula (1897).
