A second or subsequent catalog by an artist should get A4 and date plus a work letter. I usually avoid using “a” which is generally reserved in LCC for reprints of resources. LCC table N6 gives you this basic instruction. The addition of the work letter is based on standard LC practice about dates in call numbers.

Scenario: I put on my user hat and think about searching a catalog/discovery interface for items on Lucio Fontana. I get a whole bunch of results so I think about filtering my results.
