Las novelas de Samuel Beckett son altamente autoconscientes y reflexivas en muchos sentidos; también en la manera en que interiorizan y ficcionalizan las estrategias de recepción y de interpretación usadas por los lectores al enfrentarse a la narrativa clásica. Este artículo estudia las diversas formas en que Beckett utiliza figuras de narratarios para orientar (o desorientar) a su lector, extendiendo los límites de la ficción hasta incluir en ella los márgenes del texto literario, su recepción y su interpretación.

Samuel Beckett’s novels are highly self-conscious and reflexive, not least in the way they internalize and fictionalize the strategies of reception and interpretation which readers use in approaching classical fiction. This article studies the various ways in which Beckett uses narratee figures to orientate (or disorientate) his reader, and thereby extends the boundaries of fiction to encompass the margins of the literary text, its reception and interpretation.
