I really like your second idea as the army was segregated during WW1 and analyzing something like the ideas of race and how people thought of each other can open doors into the past that will allow us to see the thoughts and feelings of the people during the early 20th century.

I concur with your thoughts and agree with Benjamin’s writings about algorithms to some extent. The biases of programmers and other people can seep into the programming of an algorithm, making it inherently bias and flawed. However, this should not mean that we shouldn’t use algorithms at all or declare them all as horrible.

I think that when we are doing the project that we should take a more personal approach and, like you said, compile information on individuals and then link their experiences to the project as this would allow us to present and mix accurate findings and data with more personal accounts of what life was like and how things have changed over time.

I know that calling out the prison for not being as informative about real world issues and how to solve them is a valid criticism, but people need to understand about how the prison relies on itself for funds and that events like “Terror Behind the Walls” are necessary to keep the prison from closing or becoming a mall like you said.
