Jonathan De Souza is Associate Professor in the Don Wright Faculty of Music and Associate Member in the Brain and Mind Institute at the University of Western Ontario. His research combines music theory, phenomenology, and cognitive science, examining the interplay of technology and bodily technique in diverse musical repertoires. He is the author of Music at Hand: Instruments, Bodies, and Cognition (Oxford University Press, 2017), which received an Emerging Scholar Award from the Society for Music Theory.
