About
Frédéric wrote his PhD thesis on
Hjalmar Schacht – German Minister of Economics (1934–1937) and President of the Reichsbank (1924–1930; 1933–1939) and then studied the monetary organisation of Continental Europe in the 20th century. At the CVCE, Frédéric became an active member of the digital humanities community. He gradually turned his attention to the study of the relationship between historians and their primary sources in the digital age on the one hand, and the use of massive data from web platforms in memory studies on the other.
He led the
#ww1 project around the Centenary of the Great War on Twitter. With Caroline Muller (Université Rennes 2), he is co-editor of the online book
Le Goût de l’archive à l’ère numérique. He is in charge of communication and dissemination within the
COST Action SlowMemo (CA20105). He is also interested in the
collective memory aspects of the current sanitary crisis.
He is managing editor of the
Journal of Digital History.
