I am a PhD Candidate at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Texas at Austin.

 

I am interested in Literary and Cultural Studies, Critical Indigenous Studies, and Indigenous Languages. My research focuses on indigenous writing, coloniality, and Mesoamerican literature and civilization.

As Indigenous Languages GRA at LLILAS Benson, I have developed Chqeta’maj le qach’ab’al K’iche’! (Let’s learn K’iche’!) The first open resource online course of Maya K’iche’, available at tzij.coerll.utexas.edu.
