I work at The University of Alabama as the Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness. In that role, I support planning and evaluation/assessment for the campus. Most recently, I’ve helped get UA’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), “Learning in Action,” off the ground. Learning in Action focuses on using experiential learning to improve undergraduates’ problem solving skills. I love helping individuals and groups of people actualize meaningful goals–especially when those goals connect to student learning and the creation of positive outcomes for diverse communities. My background in qualitative research, program evaluation, project development/management and community-based scholarship shapes my approach to my work, and because I am a podcast aficionado and a digital storyteller, I often look for opportunities to integrate multimodal narratives into the various projects I work on.
