St. Edward’s has had a standalone Writing major since 1987, and I teach a variety of rhetorical theory and criticism courses in the major, as well as writing courses in the general-education core, legal writing, and editing. Before I went back to school to earn my MA and PhD, I practiced law in California and in Texas.
