About

Dylan Lewis is a PhD student in English Literature. He is also a part-time instructor in the Department of Germanic Studies and a graduate assistant in UMD’s BookLab. Dylan studies the crosscurrents between English and German-language novels throughout the long eighteenth century with particular interests in book history and bibliography, translation, epistolary novels, the Gothic, paratexts, and digital humanities. Prior to his doctoral studies, he received a master’s degree in German Literature, a graduate certificate in Book History & Digital Humanities, and a bachelor’s degree in English and German from Texas Tech University.
