About

Daniel Fandino is a PhD student with the Department of History at Michigan State University. His research interests center primarily on on the study of U.S. – Japanese relations, digital history, and the intersection of popular culture and technology.

Daniel’s other interest include the history of computer and console gaming, pedagogy, podcasting, and American fandom. His most recent work is a chapter in the edited volume Virtual Tourism: Ghost Roads entitled “Remembering Fictional History and Virtual War in Eve Online.”

Before starting at Michigan State, Daniel lived in Tokyo, Taipei and Shanghai.
