About

I teach writing at MacEwan University. Here’s my faculty page.

I am an experienced writer, editor, speaker, educator, and writing coach. I’m also a long-time WordPress and web content management systems (CMS) professional. I have over 15 years of experience planning, designing, building, supporting — and training people to effectively use — digital publishing tools for the greatest effect with their target audiences. As a media and communication professional with a Masters degree in English and over 10 years of teaching experience, I can translate complex ideas between many communities of expertise and lay audiences.

My graduate studies were in early modern literature and history with a focus on religion, politics, and print from 1400-1600.

A native of the Hudson valley region of east-central New York state, I’ve lived in the South, the Midwest, northern New Jersey, and Guam. I’m currently a permanent resident of Canada.
