I am a creative writer whose literary criticism focuses on place, poetics, labor, and the nineteenth-century novel. My critical articles have appeared in Novel: A Forum on Fiction, Dickens Studies Annual and George Eliot-George Henry Lewes Studies, while my fiction and poetry have appeared in DIAGRAM, Witness, Fourteen Hills, and cream city review as the winner of the A. David Schwartz Fiction Prize.
