Cathy Thomas (she/her) is a UC President’s Postdoctoral Fellow working on Transnational Caribbean/Black Diaspora culture and literature, Caribbean carnival culture and practices, decolonial feminist thought, and discovering modes of play and resistance in comic books, cosplay, pop culture and science (fiction). She received her Ph.D. at UC Santa Cruz in Literature with a designated emphasis in Creative Critical writing.
