My dissertation made me discover quite a number of archives in Europe (especially the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Austria, and Germany). Something that I wish somebody would have told me before is the temperature in the archives. Depending on the archive, it varies A LOT. I want to draw your attention to this helpful list compiled by Megan Cook.

Every morning I make a plan for the day, which helps me to focus on that day’s tasks. Also, I love the pomodoro timer “Forest” (Android). For every 25 minutes you work, a tree grows for your forest. If you use your phone during the 25 minutes, the little tree will wilt.
