I’m working on a book project, “Unemployment in Twentieth-Century Chile.” It’s a larger social history of the unemployed and the efforts of the State to define and control the labor market in Chile from the 1930s-Great Depression to the Debt crisis of the early 1980s. I have an NEH fellowship next year so that I will be (beginning in June 2017) working “exclusively” on my book.
